TRACK A - V2G Technical Advisory Board Working Groups
EVENT SPACE 2
The TAB Mission is to support and inform SCE's EPIC project, Vehicle to Grid Integrajtion, a lab-based project focused on technical implementation of utility interconnection methods aligned with industry standards and including advanced utility grid management systems focused on capabilities for real VGI use cases. We welcome and encourage support and advice from our board and want to hear from others involved with technical V2G implementations.
The TAB has worked to advance V2G technical topics, and its group of experts has identified three clear gap areas and specific issues hindering immediate wide-scale implementation of V2G use cases. Three working groups were established at the first V2G Forum to address these gaps and make recommendations for their resolution. The SCE EPIC project is able to demonstrate proposed solutions. Please join us for the following activities:

TRACK B - Policy and Business Issues Working Group - WOODWARD ROOM
Regulatory and policy progress toward V2G enablement remains fractured across the United States. Advocacy often manifests as opportunistic participation in state proceedings as they occur, leading to uneven market development and a focus on "shiny objects". This session will work on re-establishment of first principles for commercial viability of V2G as a technology and as a business proposition, and look for agreement on what a coherent and complete V2G policy looks like. Questions we will address include: What are the real impediments to V2X commercialization and is regulatory or policy development needed to address them? Is there an order in which pieces must be put into place to establish a functioning structure, or is a single proceeding possible? Should efforts focus on adjusting existing programs and structures to include V2X, or are entirely new rates, incentives, programs, and standards needed?
