Live V2G Technology Demos

WeaveGrid / Wallbox / Kia Demonstration

In this demo, Kia, Wallbox, and WeaveGrid will showcase Kia's EV9 bidirectional charging, Wallbox's V2X Quasar 2 hardware, and WeaveGrid's Electric Vehicle Management software system working together to enable grid-parallel V2G functionalities. You'll see how easy it is for drivers to charge and discharge energy from their vehicle back to the grid or home using the Wallbox app and how WeaveGrid's software system can help users automate to save on energy bills and earn money by responding to grid conditions. This partnership simplifies V2G, making it profitable and easy for drivers while maintaining full control over their vehicle's participation.

Keysight Technologies / QualityLogic / Heliox Demonstration

V2G standards compliance is a new requirement impacting many EV and EVSE manufacturers. A groundbreaking, first-to-market collaboration between QualityLogic, Keysight, and Heliox will showcase a test bed for validating UL 1741 SB compliance testing. This unique opportunity will allow attendees to witness a first-time demonstration featuring QualityLogic's UL 1741 SB test tools, Keysight's Grid and Charging Solutions, and Heliox's 44 kW V2G charger. The demonstration will highlight the availability of new test tools designed for certifying V2G-DC EVSEs for V2G interconnection in the U.S. Additionally, a live demo of IEEE 1547 and UL 1741 protocols will show that bidirectional charging can be successfully achieved by Heliox's products while fully complying with grid codes, setting a new standard for V2G technology. This brief demonstration will show the industry that critically important new test tools now exist for the certification of V2G-DC EVSEs for V2G interconnection in the U.S.

Fermata Energy Remote Demonstration

Fermata Energy is currently operating V2G installations around the nation using Fermata Energy's intelligent Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) platform. This demonstration will showcase a variety of grid support and customer support functions using the Fermata Energy FE-20 bidirectional DC charger paired with a Nissan LEAF vehicle located at a commercial customer site. The Fermata Energy V2X platform is fully configurable by the end customer using our Fleet User Interface that provides up-to-date information on the overall performance and cost savings of the V2X system. The demonstration will show how the automated V2X platform implements grid functions such as demand response or load shifting as well as customer-based functions such as demand charge management through building peak shaving all while maintaining the necessary SOC based on the scheduled use of the vehicle and ensuring the protection and health of the EV battery.
